“Prosecutors Against Gun Violence is moving on multiple fronts to share intelligence and strategies for reclaiming our communities from gun violence. In addition to our members’ ongoing efforts in jurisdictions throughout the country, we have established a prosecutors’ clearinghouse for best practices on gun violence prevention and enforcement.
“PAGV will make a series of announcements beginning next month, including the launch of a project to remove weapons from domestic violence perpetrators, and the release of our organization’s statement of policy principles. This spring, we will convene a national prosecutorial summit on the nexus between mental illness and gun violence.
“We founded PAGV three months ago with the belief that, as prosecutors and as a nation, we can do more to prevent tragedies like the shootings at Sandy Hook. With our growing, bipartisan coalition working together across the nation, we believe that even more strongly today.”
