Statement of PAGV Co-Chair Cyrus R. Vance, Jr. and Mike Feuer on Mass Shooting at Umpqua Community College in Oregon

“Our thoughts, our prayers, and our resolve are with all families affected by today’s rampage in Oregon. People should have a reasonable expectation of safety when they set foot inside community institutions like schools, churches, movie theaters, and other public places. PAGV remains committed to advancing prosecutorial and policy solutions to combat this uniquely American public health crisis. These senseless casualties serve only to strengthen our will.”

On October 29th and 30th, Prosecutors Against Gun Violence will convene in Portland, OR, for its third conference this year, focusing on the intersection between domestic violence and gun crimes.
