WHAT:
Members of Prosecutors Against Gun Violence (PAGV), a diverse, non-partisan coalition of leading prosecutors from across the country, will hold a summit focusing on the connection between incidents of domestic violence and gun violence, and seek effective and practical solutions.
A media availability to discuss details of the program will be held with co-chairs Los Angeles City Attorney Mike Feuer, Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance, Jr., and host Multnomah County Oregon District Attorney Rod Underhill. The luncheon discussion with US Attorney Bill Williams and Oregon Chief District Judge Ann Aiken will also be open press.
Launched in September 2014, PAGV seeks to identify and promote prosecutorial and policy solutions to the national public health and safety crisis of gun violence. The Domestic Violence and Gun Violence Summit in Portland follows the group’s prior summits in Atlanta and Miami.
